The Kelly Hamilton team actively engaged with locals of Pittsburgh who qualify as low and very-low income individuals to create Section 3 opportunities. Our KBK Foundation succeeded in meeting or exceeding the Housing Authority’s Section 3 and M/WBE goals for the project by approximately 26 percent. Homewood has experienced the impact of prolonged decline and disinvestment. However, Homewood has constructed a development plan that involves dissecting the neighborhood into “clusters” with each “cluster” intended to serve a directed purpose (i.e. housing, business district/retail improvement, greenspace) to improve the neighborhood. The foundation is excited to see the future of Homewood!
- Exceeded the goals of HACP by hiring 59% MWBE in residential construction and 34 section 3 workers.
- Certified Green Community
- An effort to contribute to the new growth in Homewood. KBK Enterprises has worked in other Pittsburgh neighborhoods bringing community centers and affordable and mixed-income housing to the Hill District, Garfield, and Larimer. This project is KBK Enterprises’ first development in the Homewood neighborhood.
- Intended to serve a directed purpose (i.e. housing, business district/retail improvement, greenspace) to improve the neighborhood.
Since being fully open and operating since the beginning of the year there have not been social services to include due to the unforeseen circumstances of COVID19 many services are put on hold, We are thrilled and excited to work closely with our community partners and residents of Kelly Hamilton.
